After Dutch (European) Flying Car....... the American Flying Car also in reality.......

The dream of all American now come true after Dutch flying car, the PAL-V on 3rd April'12. After it's European competitor an American car-plane is creating headlines for finishing a successful test flight.
Woburn, Mass.-based Terrafugia Inc. said that its prototype flying car has completed its first flight, bringing the company closer to its goal of selling the flying car within the next year. The vehicle - dubbed the Transition - has two seats, four wheels and wings that fold up so it can be driven like a car. Usually Commercial jets fly at 35,000 feet where it can fly at 1,400 feet.
Near about 100 people have already a $10,000 as advance to buy this Flying Car Transition and The Terrafugia authority expected that the order will rise after introduces the Transition to the public at the New York Auto Show. It's expected to cost $279,000. To fly it needs a runway and It can not fly in traffic.
The flying car has always had a special place in the American mind. Since the 1930s, the engineers have been trying to make them in really .Terrafugia has come closer than anyone to making the flying car a reality. The government has already granted the company's request to use special tires and glass that are lighter than normal automotive ones, to make it easier for the vehicle to fly.
Steven Moscaritolo told the Transition can reach around 70 miles per hour on the road and 115 in the air and 20 hours fly time test need to be able to fly the car. It flies using a 23-gallon tank of automotive fuel and burns 5 gallons per hour in the air and on the ground 35 miles per gallon.
